Winging It

Yesterday brought typical Ithaca weather- wet, gray, and chilly. This weather seems to encourage birdfeeder activity. Having seen the male Baltimore Oriole for a number of days, I was happy to finally have a sighting of the female. She was a feisty bird, chasing away other species much larger than herself. Not as vibrant in color as her partner, she certainly made up for it in personality.
