Sad News From Ithaca

hawkM20cThe following link to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, “All About Birds,” reported the need to euthanize the injured juvenile Red-tailed Hawk.  Although it has not been confirmed that the two hawks found (now both dead) were in fact the D1 and D3 nestlings from nest on the Cornell Campus, there is a strong possibility that they were two of the three young birds we  watched hatch and grow.  Sad, indeed.
