Heron Highlights

The courting rituals of the Great Blue Heron pair on the nest at Sapsucker Woods Pond continue.  Yesterday the couple did mate twice.  Apparently the female was not interested in subsequent attempts by the male.  Today that may change.  At any rate I continue to spend too much time watching this web cam and gathering screen captures. I will definitely have a better resource for my art work than I collected last year.  The following screen shots are from yesterday evening and this morning. A heavy fog set in on the pond this morning.  The fog lent an interesting atmospheric perspective to the scene.
