Nest Neighbors

hawkA5aApparently Big Red and Ezra have some nest neighbors.  Last week they were visited by a black bird.  The chat was not up and I was unable to identify the visiting bird, although I did get a screen capture of its arrival at the Hawk nest site.  Yesterday more bird chatter signaled the return of visitors.  This time the screen capture clearly shows that the black bird is a Starling.  From what I was able to gather on the chat, the Starling also has a nest somewhere on the light pole.  There doesn’t seem to be any competition at this point.  I must admit I was a little nervous when the eggs were briefly left unattended.  Ezra returned quickly, made himself comfortable and waited for Big Red to get a snack and stretch her wings. Ezra Settles In hawA5d
